An refreshing drink is always an delicious way to start a day . I My usually try to have lot of juices and we try mixing and matching some fruits and veggies together and try a different variety of juice every time. I stopped drinking coffee after coming to US as I got addictive to them and started drinking juice instead , Now I love drinking variety of juices which is an healthy way to energies. So while mixing and matching I tried this delicious combo and loved it a lot.
Pears and carrot both are equally healthy and they are perfect to match for juice. A veggie and fruit combo always gets a like from H and so I tried this combo and he loved it :). This a very simple recipe though it might be simple I wanted to share them as they were very delicious and healthy combo. For this juice as I made this for Vegan Thursday I added sugar but I have tried with Honey too and they taste equally yummy. You can also add little mint leaves and they will taste refreshing too. Now lets move on to the simple drink for the day ..
Pears -2 No ( Ripened)
Carrot - 2 No
Lemon - 1 small ( squeeze the juice)
Sugar to taste ( I use Honey even to make it more healthy )
Water - 2 cups
- Peel pears and chop carrots, Put them in the blender with other ingredients except water.
- Grind them till they form a paste .
- Then add water and pulse them till well combined.
- Strain using a strainer and then add some ice cubes .
- Serve them in a tall glass, chilled.
