karachi halwa

Corn flour halwa / karachi halwa is always my fav from kid. This jelly like halwa always used to attracts  me from the assortment of sweets my father used to get for us while diwali. I have always enjoyed this halwa a lot , and have made this a couple of times. As for the festivals coming this is the perfect and quick sweet to prepare and share with your neighbors and relatives. There might be very less people who will say no to sweets in India and this is one among sweet which I will never say no for. Karachi halwa / corn flour halwa is originally a sindhi sweet which is rubbery in texture and so it can also be called as rubber halwa. This halwa is made pure desi ghee so it makes the halwa super glossy and delectable.

I Love to add this to my festival list of recipe to do. When I was thinking of festival theme this sweet was the first thing came to my mind. You can add any nuts to the halwa but i added only cashews. As you can see this chewy sweet was enjoyed by me and H on a ordinary this is a perfect sweet to celebrate any occasion .Check out the Blogging Marathon page for the other Blogging Marathoners doing BM#43
