Thiruvathirai Special

First of all Wishing you all a very happy new year :).. Starting My first post of the year with sweet for the day festival. Thiruvathirai is a Hindu festival celebrated widely in Tamil nadu and Kerala. It is celebrated on a full moon night in dec – jan and it is celebrated for lord siva who is praised as Athiriyan from which Thiru + Athirai comes Thiruvathirai. On this day shiva and parvati idols are taken out from the temple for a procession. Traditionally on this day kali’s and kootu’s are made to offer god. When researched about the festival in google found that kali is very important offering made and ended up making this Koova kali / Arrowroot Halwa which turned yumm.
