Eggless Cake Recipes

Some cakes are so special it is difficult to forget and am sharing that one cake I made and surprised my H dear for his birthday last year. I had very less time to prepare a surprise him, I do make cake every year but i didn’t do enough planning last year I just baked a simple vanilla cake and covered the cake with kitkat and M &M  and tadaaaa you can see there no much effort is needed to make this Kitkat cake but still doesn’t it look gorgeous. My daughter had so much fun surprising her papa ( father) at 12 am exactly. My hubby was shocked as my daughter grabbed his hand to show him something and we both shouted ” Happy birthday” .. It was one moment we treasured, coming to the cake my hubby just loved the cake a lot it was so moist and chocolate collar made my daughter very happpy as she is one bigggg chocoholic. Now lets see how to make this simple yet beautiful cake..

Kitkat Cake

                                         Category   Preparation time     Cook Time
                                         Cake Recipes
      20 mins
     30-45 mins
  Ingredients

  All Purpose Flour – 1 1/2 cups
  Sugar – 3/4 cup
  Curd/ Yogurt – 1 cup
  Baking Pd – 1 1/2 tsp
  Baking Soda – 1/2 tsp
  Oil – 1/2 cup
  Vanilla extract – 1/2 tsp
Any frosting I used fresh cream frosting
KITKAT – 4 -5 sachets  ( break them to pieces)
  M & M – As required
  Method
  • Preheat the oven at 350 F and grease the 8 ” inch cake pan.
  • In a bowl sieve all purpose flour, baking pd, baking soda .
  • In another bowl mix curd, vanilla extract, Oil and mix them well.
  • Mix the wet ingredients in the dry ingredients well .
  • Pour the batter in the greased cake pan , pat it few times to release air bubbles.
  • Bake the cake at 350 F for 30-45 mins or till a tooth pick inserted comes out clean.
  • Cool the cake for 5 mins then invert it in a wire rack , cool the cake completely before frosting.
  • Frost the cake with whipped cream frosting
  • My cake was short so I halved the Kitkat. Arrange the kitkat pieces in the corner without leaving any gaps.
  • Fill the top with M & M and the cake is ready. To give a nice look and also to keep the kitkats in place you can roll them with a ribbon.
