Kesar Malai Lassi

Lassi are an delicious and rich drink served at the end of meal πŸ™‚ A specialty of Jodhpur and Rajasthan in India.Healthy, easy, rich and delicious drink to end with . I am sure this lassi will satisfy all your  sweet cravings anytime πŸ™‚ ..This mine and my h’s favorite after a meal feels so refreshed of course we have it after 1 hour we take our meal as it is so rich πŸ™‚ Lets move on to the recipe πŸ™‚

Ingredients
1 tsp Saffron (Kesar) Extract 
1 cup Milk
1/2 cup whipping cream 
3Β½ tbsp Sugar (adjust to your taste)
A pinch of Salt 
50 ml water  (optional)
Method
  • Put all ingredients in a blender and blend till smooth and the sugar dissolves.
  • Pour in a tall glass.
  • Serve chilled.

Mango Orange Sharabat

This is an delicious and yumm drink which is one my favorite and people living in india may be knowing mazza drink this juice just taste the same like . Drinks are the best way to beat the heat and we feel refreshed after roaming  around in a sunny day and having a chilled glass of drink. This is one such drink which can be prepared  quickly and taste so yummm .. Lets Move on to the delicious drink recipe .. This is an awesome drink and nutritious vegan one . So this my share for  Vegan thursday πŸ™‚ 

Ingredients

4 Orange chilled
1 Mango chilled
1 tsp sugar (adjust to your taste)
2-3 mint leaves

Method

  • Juice 4 chilled oranges and pour into the blender.( juice the orange using  an hand juicer) 
  • Add the flesh of 1 chilled mango, mint and blend until pureed. 
  • Don’t add any water if you feel the juice a bit thick then add more orange juice to it and blend them

Note

  • Transfer to a jug and cover with plastic wrap. 
  • Keep in the fridge for up to 2 days.

Ginger Melon Punch

Today am going to share the recipe of our guest in Jagruti’s potluck party . I was paired with nayana of Nayana’s kitchen  and she brought for us an refreshing drink “Ginger Melon Punch” which was very appealing and colorful treat  as soon as i  saw the recipe want to try them ASAP. Thank you to nayana for helping me out to with the alternative can be done in the same recipe πŸ™‚ . I haven’t tried Ginger and melon combo before so i was very curious in tasting those colorful drink and so made it at last. πŸ™‚ 

Ingredients

4 cups seedless watermelon cubes, divided
1/4 cup sugar
2 tbsp grated peeled fresh ginger
9 (1-inch) seedless watermelon balls
1 cup sparkling  lemon water, chilled
ice cubes, optional

Method

  •  Put 4 cups watermelon in a blender; process until smooth. Strain through a sieve into a pitcher; discard solids.  
  • Just press the grated ginger  on a strainer and take out as much juice as you can.
  •  Combine Ginger  juice , sugar in a bowl; stir with a whisk until sugar dissolves and mix this into the water melon juice.
  • Pour 3/4 th  glass with the melon  juice and top them with watermelon balls then stir in lemon sparkling water just before serving. 
  • Note : As I don’t have any special scope too make the melon balls i used Measuring spoon to make melon balls . 
  • Serve over cracked or crushed ice, if desired.

Papaya Banana Smoothie

Hi friends !!! Am back with yummy recipes and healthy drink πŸ™‚ .Am so happy today to share this recipe from my friends space . This blogosphere is so huge and i never dreamt  that i will come across so many wonderful persons who are great friends of mine  now. Thanks to all my bloggers and virtual friends who so kind in encouraging me and give me ideas now and then . Today am going to share a recipe from my very sweet buddy +Sangeetha M  author of Spicy treats :). 
Her blog is filled with so many innovative and yummy recipes i have already tried her ” Orange blueberry muffins “ which my H i loved it :). Today am sharing another healthy drink recipe from her blog which i loved and enjoyed a lot .

Ingredients

Papaya –  1 cup (chopped)
Banana-1 no medium
Milk – 1 cup
Sugar or Honey – 2 tsp (adjust to your taste buds)

Method

  • Wash,Peel the skin and roughly chop the riped papaya and keep aside and also chop the bananas.
  • In a blender,add chopped papaya and banana ,Pulse the blender till they are well blended.
  • Then add milk and sugar/honey and blend them again.
  • Transfer the smoothie to a serving glass,add ice cubes if needed.
  • For garnish you can chop some papaya and sprinkle on top 
Tips
  • You can even top some vanilla ice cream on top .
Sangee even shared a beauty tip with this post which i wanted to spread πŸ™‚ If you are using honey for this smoothie just apply in your face for few minutes and your face will glow and becomes soft . Loved this yummy combo so much πŸ™‚

Am here with another entry for my event ” Come on – Lets Cook Buddies” . So happy with response am getting for this event still new participants are joining and i am awestruck with  the entries they are sending me .. Some recipes are very unique and i haven’t tried at all.. Am in the mission to try all the recipes am getting for this contest and re-post it giving credits to my participants once this event entries gets over and i announce the winner πŸ™‚ .. Introduction

This is not scary green monster , its yummy green monster…It is an Easy and Healthy Smoothie, especially for kids. A wonderful way to give Spinach to kids.  If your kid is ready to learn cooking, u can start with this simple recipe. Yes, My kid helped me to make this recipe πŸ™‚

Ingredients

Spinach (Palak) – 1 cup
Banana – 2
Honey – 2 tbsp.
Whole Milk or Heavy Cream – 2 cups


Method of Preparation

  • Take a blender, add peeled bananas, honey, washed spinach and milk.
  • Blend it well without any lumps. Pour it in a glass.
  • Green Monster Smoothie is ready πŸ™‚

Variation

You can use Skim Milk, if u want as Fat Free. You can also add Ice Cream to it for extra taste.

Hi!! Myself, Sneha from Chennai (India). I am working as Manager- Operations (Recruitment & Consulting). Manju is my junior & have known her since her childhood. She is very creative & used to participate in all arts/crafts competition. Cooking was, is & always be a passion for her. Well, I used to HATE COOKING ! Bleehh…. One could rarely see me step into my kitchen. But off recently, started loving it … My inspirations from Manju & Master Chef J.
I am here to share Jain Jashn-e-khana, which means all my recipes would be –**NO Onion-NO Garlic-NO ginger**….. then how the β€œTASTE”….???

Introduction
 As the name goes, yes its pinky pinky berries, loved by almost all ladies! Not only that the paradise would also have something which; again, almost all ladies love.. yes ! pink roses ! Strawberries are Nutrient-rich and packed with antioxidants. It is widely appreciated for its characteristic aroma, bright red color, juicy texture, and sweetness..
Rose petals are flavoring agents & useful to beat the heat, maintain body temperature & controlling cancer growth.
Serving Size : makes 1 glass
Ingredients 
 5 medium sized strawberries
1 tsp dry rose petals (soaked in little water for atleast 2 hrs)
250ml Chilled milk
2 tbspn fresh cream
4 ice cubes
2 tsp sugar (or as per taste )
Method Of Preparation 
  •  Chop the strawberries roughly.
  • To get nice froth , first blend icecubes & fresh cream very nicely. It would give a creamy texture & huge froth as shown in pic. (this way you can avoid adding cream which adds fat & calories)
  •  Add on the strawberries & soaked rose petals along with the water & blend a little.
  •  Now add chilled milk & sugar & blend well.
  • Check and adjust sugar according to your preference and sweetness of the fruit.
  •  Enjoy the pink paradise & beat the heat !!!

Variations
  • You can add a small scoop of vanilla / strawberry ice-cream for extra richness and creaminess.
  • You can add whipped cream if you don worry the extra calories

Watermelon Gazpacho

Gazpacho’s are chilled soup , originated in the southern Spanish  region.  Gazpacho is mostly consumed during the summer months, due to its refreshing qualities and cold serving temperature. I tried this gazpacho with watermelon and it tasted really refreshing .  The heat in it when chilled gives a refreshing taste to this drink .This a simple chilled soup . Gazpacho’s are generally tomato based but i have tried this with watermelon to make it more refreshing :). 

Ingredients

3 1/2 cups seedless watermelon, diced divided
1/2 cup cucumber, peeled, seeded, diced
1/2 cup red bell pepper, seeded, diced
1/2 cup yellow bell pepper,seeded, diced
1 small jalapeno chille, seeded, minced
1/2 cup red onion, diced
2 tbsp finely chopped fresh mint leaves
1 1/2 tbsp fresh lime juice
salt to taste

Method

  • Puree ,watermelon in blender until smooth. 
  • Add remaining 8 ingredients, Blend in the blender to combine. 
  • Now after all the ingredients combine well you can strain the puree.
  •  Cover gazpacho and refrigerate until cold, at least 1 hour . 
  • This chilled soup is perfect when for a sunny day at work .

Dates Shake (Come On- Lets cook Buddies) Entry – 5

Am eagerly waiting for my h to come home and take me to the grocery because am so eager to try all my event entries soon and enjoy :). Now lets come to an entry of  ” Come on – Lets cook buddies”.. Again +Aishwarya Srinivasan  has come up with a yummy and healthy entry πŸ™‚ lets move  on the recipe with out any further ado .

Introduction 

 Dates has Natural Fiber and  even rich in several vitamins and minerals such as calcium, sulphur, iron, potassium, phosphorous,  copper and magnesium which are advantageous for health. It is said that consumption of one date daily is necessary for a balanced and healthy diet. Dates help in fighting constipation, intestinal disorders, weight gain, heart problems, diarrhea and abdominal cancer.

So, here is the recipe to make the kids to consume dates everyday.

Ingredients

Seedless Pitted Dates – 6 nos
Heavy Cream – 1/2 cup
Vanilla Ice-Cream – 1 1/2 cup
Grated chocolate or saffron ( for garnishing)

Method of preparation

  • Chop the dates and put it in a blender.
  • Add cream little by little and grind it without any chunks.
  •  Then add vanilla ice-cream and grind it well.
  •  Garnish with grated chocolate or saffron.

Variations

If u want to make it as Fat Free, Add Skim Milk instead of Heavy Cream. You can also use Fat Free Ice cream.

Aamras

Aamras  is the pulp of the tropical fruit Mango eaten in India. The pulp of a ripe fruit is extracted usually by hands and consumed along with Chapati. My mom use to just take a small part of the top off  sip in all the juice without peeling the mango even. Sugar is added to adjust the sweetness. A regional version of Aamras is a popular dessert in Rajasthani cuisine and Marwari homes.

Ingredients

Ripened mangoes 3(medium size)
sugar 1/4 cup
whole milk – 1/2 cup
Cardamom pd –  1/4 tsp
saffron stands – for garnish

Method

  • Wash the mangoes, then peel and chop them.
  • In a blender, add the chopped mango pieces and blend.
  • Then blend the mangoes, sugar, milk, cardamom powder together. Mix the saffron in the mango pulp.
  • Chill in the refrigerator.
Serving options :

  • Serve with hot pooris or even with steamed rice. we also have aamras mix in rice it tastes really yumm.
  • You could also serve the aamras as a dessert topped with cream.
  • You can also serve it with vanilla ice cream.

Strawberry rose milkshake

Strawberry rose milkshakes are perfect for a summer afternoon or evening, and they pair exceptionally well with classic dinner dishes like burgers, fries, club sandwiches or even a Indian spicy dishes. Milkshakes also make an excellent dessert for children and adults.This is an refreshing drink as it contains rose preserves in it which gives it a very nice aroma of rose to incorporate more rose flavor i added rose syrup to it.

Ingredients

Strawberries 5 nos
rose preserves 1 tbsp
sugar 1 tbsp (optional)
rose syrup 1 tbsp
Milk – 1 cup
Fresh cream- 1/2 cup


Method

Halve the strawberries . Put all the ingredients in a blender.Blend until smooth. Pour into glasses and serve chilled.
